On the afternoon of November 26, 2020, Xiamen University Accounting Development and Research Center, Humanities and Social Sciences key research base of Ministry of Education, established the overseas partner base "Macao Accounting Research Center" and officially opened. The opening ceremony of this newly established research institute of Macao University of Science and Technology was held in its auditorium hall.Including Zeng Guanxiong, acting director of Macao Higher Education Bureau, and Paulo Cunha Alves, Consul General of Portugal in Macao, Principal of Macao University of Science and Technology Liu Liang, Vice Principal Tang Jiale, Jiang Zhihong, Lin Zhijun and Kuang Yinghua, Vice Principal and Dean of Business School Su Yuzhou, associate Vice Principal and Consul General of Angola in Macao, Consul General of the Republic of the Philippines in Macao, Consul General of Mozambique in Macao, a total of around 200 people were invited and attended the meeting. Professor Qu Xiaohui, Director of Academic Committee of our center, was also invited and attended the unveiling ceremony.
The Humanities and Social Sciences key research base of Ministry of Education is a major construction project in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences in China. It plays an important role in cultivating excellent talents of related majors, improving academic level and promoting the development of the majors. Macao Accounting Research Center is an overseas partner base of Xiamen University Accounting Development and Research Center, the Humanities and Social Sciences key research base of Ministry of Education. In 2020, it was established with the approval of Xiamen University and Macao University of Science and Technology and was submitted to the record of Ministry of Education. The two parties will cooperate closely to build the center, integrate and make full use of educating and research resources, deeply study accounting theories and its practical development, and promote academic cooperation and exchange of accounting and related majors in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and overseas.
