According to data from the ESI (Essential Science Indicators) database in March and May 2020, Professor Boqiang LIN, Dean of China Energy Policy Research Institute, School of Management, Xiamen University, and Director of the Center for Collaborative Innovation in Energy Economics and Energy Policy, is the first author and corresponding author of three published academic papers which were newly selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers, while one academic paper was newly selected as ESI Hot Papers. Up to now, 49 academic papers with Professor Boqiang LIN as the first author or corresponding author have been selected as ESI highly cited papers, and at least 10 have been selected as ESI hot papers.
The ESI database is an analytical database based on more than 11,000 academic journals and 10 million articles which included in SCI (Science Citation Index) and SSCI (Social Science Citation Index). ESI Highly Cited Papers are ESI papers that have the high citation threshold in the latest two months according to the corresponding field and publication year, and have a high number of citation in the latest two months. The top 1% of the papers in each field are selected as ESI Highly Cited paper. ESI hot papers refer to ESI papers that must have been published within the last two years and have a high number of citations by virtual in a current bimonthly period. The top 0.1% of the papers in each field are selected as ESI hot papers.
